Dr. Sandy BRADBROOK (1945 - ) Serves as Interim Acting Chief Executive Officer and Director of Heart of Birmingham Primary Care Trust. Dr. Bradbrook began his career in industry before joining the NHS in 1985. He joined Wigan Health Authority as a District General Manager and ended as Chief Executive of the local NHS Trust, before becoming as a management consultant working particularly in primary care. In 2001, Dr Bradbrook was appointed as Chief Executive of Birmingham Children's Hospital, which subsequently progressed from one to three stars in successive years. Most recently, he was asked to undertake the role of Project Director of the Black Country Review, looking at all aspects of health and social care in the four Black Country boroughs. Now retired but still active as Chairman of the Children's University. Dr. Bradbrook is married to a rector in the Church of England; they have three children. Outside of work, he and his wife enjoy walking, particularly in the Lake District and the Alps.
